In 2024, Live From Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central was a live concert featuring Eminem, Diana Ross, Jack White, and more. The concert acted as a celebration of the city of Detroit's rich history and the grand re-opening of one of the city's oldest landmarks: Michigan Central Station. The event was held in Roosevelt Park with the newly renovated station as its backdrop.

For this event, I was part of the team that put together the video packages that would play live at the concert between performances. The entire concert also aired on network NBC television and was available to stream on Peacock afterwards. Our team did a mammoth amount of media management for this project and worked on building out edits far in advance of the event. Still, we worked up until the day of the event, editing. This meant that most of the audio work had to be done in tandem with the edits and formatted for broadcast prior to delivery.

Early on the morning of the event, I finished work on the sound edit and mix of the opening piece that would start the show and introduce Diana Ross.

Additionally, I was responsible for editing and treating the audio for an audio exhibit inside the station called "Faces of Michigan Central." The exhibit featured a number of large double-sided signs with photographs and quotes from people with very personal connections to the station. Select quotes from the interviews played on a number of speakers throughout the space.

One of my favorite pieces from the exhibit was the story of Kitty Heinzman, who came to Michigan Central Station in 1958 as a young girl from Ireland.
